Take a poetry workshop with Maria from 2:45 - 4:15 p.m. on August 4 - 9, 2013.
The workshop is called The Poet Within, The Poetry of Memory and Place, and will help you discover the stories you have to tell and the words to tell them. It's based on the belief that when you find the courage to explore your memories, you find the source for powerful, evocative writing. Using your daily life and varied experiences, you will unearth stories and discover how the places in which you find yourself affect the way you expereince the world. The workshop requires participants to be honest and specific. Please bring paper, a pen and a willingness to take risks.
