Poets Farawell and Romond Tonight in Montclair



Tonight, November 1, 2018, the Montclair Monthly Poetry Series presents two featured poets: Martin Farawell and Ed Romond at the Montclair Library in Montclair, New Jersey.



Edwin Romond is the author of eight collections of poetry. Ed was a public school teacher for 32 years in Wisconsin and New Jersey before retiring in 2003. Romond now works part-time in the poetry program of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. A native of Woodbridge, NJ,  he lives in Wind Gap, PA with his wife, Mary, and their son, Liam.  edwinromond.com



Martin Jude Farawell is an American poet and playwright from New Jersey. He directs the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival and Poetry Program. Martin is the author of a chapbook “Genesis: A Sequence of Poems” and his work has appeared in the Cortland Review, LIPS, Literary Review, Paterson Review, Poetry East, Southern Review, Tiferet and many other journals, and in a number of anthologies, including Outsiders from Milkweed Editions. His plays have been performed off-off-Broadway and by regional, college, community and international theaters from South Africa to Los Angeles.  A graduate of New York University’s Creative Writing Program, he has been the recipient of a writing fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and a frequent Pushcart Prize nominee.  martinfarawell.com


This series is held at the Montclair Public Library Auditorium and hosted by Maria Gillan and Laura Boss.

All readings in this series are free and open to the public.
