The Lace Tablecloth and the Patterns of Memory

This week on State of the Arts"The Lace Tablecloth and the Patterns of Memory,"  poet Maria Mazziotti Gillan’s heartfelt work is deeply rooted in her childhood memories of Paterson.
Plus: Two River Theater in Red Bank gives Pamela’s First Musical its world premiere. It was Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein’s last work, based on her children’s book of the same name. Newark artist Kevin Sampson creates the USS Kye Kye Kule with objects found on-site at the historic Mystic Seaport. Musician Nelson Baez keeps the infectious Puerto Rican tradition of Bomba alive in New Jersey.
