It is with great sadness that I share the passing today of my very good friend in life and poetry, Laura Boss.
I know many of us will feel a great loss because the world seems to have lost some of its sparkle today.
Her son will be creating a Laura Boss Poetry Foundation and the Poetry Center at PCCC will also be finding ways to keep Laura's poetry and contributions alive in the world. The Lips poetry journal that Laura founded in 1981 and has always edited will continue.
Keep Laura in your thoughts.

Such a privilege to have known Laura, published her work in the San Diego Poetry Annual, and supported her efforts with LIPS. Her work over the final year of her life was compelling — a real artist to the end, especially when faced with such adversity and sadness. Mourning her loss, with love — Bill Harding
This is heartbreaking. I knew Laura very well from The Bergen Poets and worked on LIPS as her assistant when she first started it. What a beautiful person who believed in poetry and enhancing the poetry community. Another great New Jersey angel in my life, she published my work and championed it. I am saddened to hear of this.
