Feisty Moms Program for Mother's Day Weekend

Maria Gillan will be featured in an event for Mother’s Day weekend. This virtual program celebrates the joys, agonies, and mysteries of the mother/daughter bond with humor and love.

Maria will be joined by storytellers Carol Birch and Jennifer Munro for “As American as Apple Pie and Spotted Dick: Stories Celebrating Our Feisty Mums." This pre-recorded, on-demand presentation will be available to view anytime Mother’s Day weekend.

Maria Mazziotti Gillan's poetry is hospitable, deceptively lucid, and fiercely honest.  Her poems brim with life as she writes about all the human places in which we live.

Storyteller Carol Birch's conversational style is eloquent but never scripted, dramatic but never overtly theatrical.  Jennifer Munro brings a fine intelligence, generous heart, and elegance to wickedly funny stories.

The Zoom link for this programs will be available May 7th, 8th & 9th on the Woodbury Library website at woodburylibraryct.org/event-keeper/

Maria Mazziotti Gillan's new poetry collection is When the Stars Were Still Visible (2021).
