Hobart Festival of Women Writers Fundraiser This Weekend



The Hobart Festival of Women Writers will host a virtual fundraiser with a Zoom Reading & Book Sale to benefit the annual Hobart Book Village Festival of Women Writers.

The online event be on Sunday, November 12 from 4-6 pm EST

This fundraising event highlights the commemorative publication, 10: A Collection of Writing by the Hobart Festival of Women Writers, co-published by the Festival with Bushel Editions.

The event will feature flash readings by 10 women writers from the publication: Diane Gilliam, Maria Gillan, Bertha Rogers, Mecca Sullivan, Lisa Wujnovich, Nancy Bereano, Elisabeth Nonas, Esther Cohen, Cheryl Clarke, and Breena Clarke.

Tickets to the reading are $12; books sent by mail are $18, postage paid.

Maria Mazziotti Gillan's newest poetry collection is When the Stars Were Still Visible (2021). Other recent publications are the poetry and photography collection, Paterson Light and Shadowand the poetry collections What Blooms in Winter and The Girls in the Chartreuse Jackets, a pairing of her poems with her paintings.
