The literary prize of the city of Cetraro, Italy has been given to the poet Maria Mazziotti Gillan. As the newspaper headline there says, "Assegnato alla poetessa Maria Mazziotti Gillan il Premio letterario della città di Cetraro.
Maria Mazziotti Gillan is the poet who this year was awarded the National Prize for Literature which takes its name from the City of Cetraro , a review now in its fourth edition which once again confirms the cultural centrality that the municipality with the port is having on the entire area of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Cosenza.A world-famous author, Gillan, an Italian-American of Cilento origin, is a weaver of verses in which the authenticity of the moment is eternalized in the density of feelings evoked by straightforward suggestions, fleetingly recalled by words calibrated with the utmost care.
