Virtual Reading Saturday June 17 with M.L. Liebler



The Poetry Center at PCCC offers readings both in-person and virtually as part of the Distinguished Poets Series. The final reading of the spring series will be June 17 at 2:30 pm ET. M. L. Liebler will be the faetured reader virtually.

M. L. Liebler is the author or editor of over 15 books. His new anthology, co-edited with Jim Daniels, is Respect: Poets on Detroit Music (Michigan State UP, 2020). Liebler’s Record Store Day Special Album with Al Kooper entitled The Moon: A Box (2023), a memoir Hound Dog: A Poet’s Life of Rock, Revolution & Redemption was published in 2022. He is the Director of The Detroit Writers Guild and the host of many different series in Detroit and online. He has taught at Wayne State University since 1980. He received a PEN/Oakland Award in 2018 and the 2020 Michigan Humanities Art Leader in Michigan Award, and he has received four Michigan Notable Book Awards and the Tillie Olsen Book Award in 2021.
